If you are lucky enough to have farm fresh eggs, steam them instead of boiling them.

And I was under the impression the baking soda went into the boiling water, not the rinse water. I've seen other references to salt or vinegar in the boiling water.

But I am going to try the blowing thing. Even though I saw him do it, I don't believe it will work. ;-)

Glad I found your blog. :-)LindaGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203719919661519350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991743430794325756.post-42663496308454519232012-02-07T16:09:48.130-08:002012-02-07T16:09:48.130-08:00Hey I'm going to try it... Plunging in ice water and getting them cold helps too. But sometimes nothing helps , some eggs just don't want to peel.JoyceAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08421027375720692604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991743430794325756.post-65492839560374846882012-02-06T11:52:48.288-08:002012-02-06T11:52:48.288-08:00Had to chuckle. For years I've boiled the eggs, then drain them and put 'em directly in refrigerator. Sometimes it works and the shells slide right off, sometimes it doesn't and they stick. Can't figure it out. GOOD to hear everyone's suggestions, though. Take care.TARYTERREhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14620999913159718018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991743430794325756.post-68072545352719342422012-02-06T11:29:21.854-08:002012-02-06T11:29:21.854-08:00I have just read Laurie's comment and she seem...I have just read Laurie's comment and she seems to think fresh eggs are more difficult. Drain, run cold water over them and drain again. Fill the pot with ice cubes and add more cold water. When they are cool enought to handle I crack them around the middle and the shell comes off in two pieces. If it doesn't work for you don't blame me that's the only way I know to do them.Beverly@Beverly's Back Porchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09327099634992021109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6991743430794325756.post-84010433343035185302012-02-06T10:31:52.254-08:002012-02-06T10:31:52.254-08:00I've tried the 'blowing' trick too - a...I've tried the 'blowing' trick too - and it didn't work for me.
