Bread Baking

This is a recipe for killer sandwich bread.

Start with 4 cups of water.  Pour that into the bowl of your mixer and add 3 packages of rapid rise yeast, 3 teaspoons of salt, 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup canola oil.

Mix this all together and add 12 cups of bread flour.

Mix until you have a dough with a rather sticky but smooth consistency.

Turn this out into a lightly greased bowl.

Divide in half and put one half in each bowl.  Cover these with a damp towel or plastic wrap and set aside to rise until doubled.

Prepare your bread pans by spraying with pam and then pouring about 3 tablespoons of melted butter into each pan.

Just drizzle it down the middle and allow it to spread out on the bottom.

After the dough has doubled in size remove the plastic wrap.

Divide into 5 pieces and form into loaves and place in the pans.  Then cover and allow to rise approximately 45 minutes.

They should look like this at this point.  Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from the oven.

Turn out on racks to cool.  These freeze really well.  Time to nom nom nom!!!

It looks as if You have a really big owen. I could perhaps get two of those in to my electric one, but only one in my fire heated owen :-) But to make the dough with half the ingridiences it could work I think.
Have a great day now!

I was thinking the same thing about oven size. In the trailer I have a 15" oven. I CANNOT wait until we get into the house and I have my spiffy new oven.

They look so yummy!

It's 113 today outside, so I'm waiting for autumn to bake again, but man I love that season--I can't bake enough from October to April. I'll definitely try your recipe when I do.

Whilst tootling around looking for something to read to scare my pants off me so I'd go get in the shower...I came across a comment left by you about biscuits on a supposed to be ghost type blog...I came running right over....I think I recognise the lady just above me in the comment section here as I believe I have stumbled across her also looking at ghost sites. Back to biscuits...I have the Hardees recipe and will dig it out for you, just so you can compare.
