Laurie Cabot used to own Crow Haven Corner but her present store is The Cat, The Crow & The Crown.
It is located in an area of Salem called Pickering Wharf.
Advertisements are up all over town for the "Witches Costume Ball". This one is in her window.
The voodoo doll I have included in my give-a-way bag at Mrs. B's give-a-way was purchased in this store. Don't forget, tomorrow is the big give-a-way! There is still time to enter at Mr's B's. Just click on the button on my sidebar. I bought a fabulous wood carved Salem witch candle holder and added it to the bag today. This bag is so nice I wish I could win it!!!!!
This is the original maritime building located at the Salem Wharf.

This is the Customs House where the author of the House of the Seven Gables, Nathaniel Hawthorne, worked while he lived in Salem. Pictures of the House of the Seven Gables will be posted in the next few days.
For those of you who like details I have tried to photograph the information posted in this area. If you enlarge the pics you should be able to read it.
Following are some of the historic structures facing the wharf.
West Indies Trading Co.
There are some very cute restaurants in this area too.
There is still an old pillory left standing . Oh my....they have my blog tech!!!!! I must release him or I will never post again!!!
The customs house has a huge gilded American eagle on the roof.
A scene from the wharf.
In A Pig's Eye.....another restaurant.
Sorry for the late blog today. We were hit with a Nor'easter and it was quite the morning. These are macro storms with winds coming from the northeast. It arrived during the night. These storms bring cold air down from the Arctic air mass. Being right on the water, we felt the full force of the storm. The winds howled and the house was shaking. At times the sea water was mixed with snow. I have my Barbour waxed coat with me on this trip and even wearing it, I was still cold. This is the kind of weather that chills you to the bone. I loved every second of it!!! However, with things flying around I was distracted and forgot to put up the post. I will be back in the morning with a new post. Don't forget to enter to win the bag.
