The winner of the banana splits giveaway is: MarZel I will ship it out on Monday! This week Teddy would like to give away a set of summer salad/dessert plates. There are four plates in this set.
They have pretty little birds (Gold Finches?) on them and wildflowers.
The Latin names of the flowers are printed around the edge of each plate. To enter, just leave a comment on this post. If you aren't already a follower, sign on to follow. The winner will be announced next Saturday and a new giveaway posted at that time.
I was bored last night so I made a peanut butter sheet cake.
Yum!
I think I am done making garden totems for a while.
All of my friends and neighbors now have one in their yards.
It's not so much that I am bored with making them.
It has more to do with storing the glass.
And organizing it.
I have boxes of glass piled in my basement.
And it is all sitting in front of my wii fit.
This is not a good thing. I need to use my wii fit!
So my goal this week is to organize the area.
Take back my space!!!
A lot of my glass might be donated back to the thrift shops I bought it from.
How strange is that.
Remember the mosaics I was making?
I have to tackle all of those plates too.
Local thrift store inventories are about to grow.
I need to find a new challenge.
Something very small and light weight!

I love all of your totems. So pretty!
Your totems all look so lovely, but I can understand why you need a new challenge. You've already conquered this one! Knowing you, you already have something percolating in the back of your mind, and I'm atwitter with anticipation as to what it will be!
Those plates that you are sharing for your next giveaway are truly too lovely to use! But I could see a delicate cookie or two resting politely upon one.
Have you started work on your Practical Magic house yet?
I don't know if you are going to get some of the rain that flew over my house, but cooler weather is behind it, at least for a day or two! Keep your fingers crossed!!
Have a great weekend.
I am looking forwad to going over some of Your recipes this summer months as I hope to do less blog writing and more reading for summer months just using computer at library etc.
Thanks so much
lov rox
Those plates are so beautiful! Haven´t seen anything quite like them before.
I like the way You´ve put birds in the totems! Sort of makes them alive!
Have a great day now!
Christer.
I just parked near a coffee shop and picked up a bunch of blog posts and e-mails. I guess that I didn't make it clear enough that I am on a 5 week book tour. Lots of television, interviews, speaking, teas, book signings, etc. Life is hectic, but wonderful. So I haven't seen Maine, my lovely seaside porch, the loons, and I haven't stopped going for two and a half weeks.
Thanks for you words and YES, I am heartsick about the oil spill. I volunteered to help with birds during the oil spill in Santa Barbara, which wasn't a zillionth as devastating as this one.
Wish me luck and I'll do the same for you and Teddy.

What a lovely set of plates, Jaz! But I just won your sweet heart box, so ignore my comment this time! :o)
Kisses and love from us.
Hmmm...a new project...light and small...hmmm...replicas of famous buildings out of toothpicks? No? Popsicle sticks? No? Hmmm...back to the drawing board. :P
We don't have them out here.
You could come out here and help me finish the yurt!
The toilet is in.
And it flushes.....
So, you are all "totemed out"! I don't wonder. You have created many beautiful totems!
The peanut butter sheet cake looks good!
We will wait and see what your new challenge is! :)
Have a great weekend!
xoxo to Teddy Red Fluffs!
Love to win those plates, too beautiful to resist, thanks for the giveaway!

I remember seeing lovely floral wreath you have made for your front door...what about making wreath for family, friends, specialty ones for specific rooms in your home, or floral swags or arrangements. I love the fresh arrangements, but they just don't last as long as would like, and now the silk versions are often so well make, is hard to tell fresh from silk. Just a thought FWIW.

What a cute idea it is to make those glass sculptures for the garden...in California mine would get so dirty in no time flat I wouldn't be able to find them. :)
Your garden totem idea is very inspiring. I have tons of "collections" and if some of them would find their way into the garden, I'd have room for more!!!

Those plates are darling too!!
I love the totems.
Thanks for the chance to win such beautiful plates -- I can already see cookies and pieces of cakes on them. :)
The totems are lovely -- and such a good "recycling" idea.
Greetings from Munich,
Birgit
that plate is gorgeous! just my style!
