Aroma Sanctum and a New Giveaway

The winner of the Stonewall Kitchen basket is: Chris (Yalco) Send me your info Chris and I will ship it right out to you!

This week's giveaway is for two vials of perfume from one of my favorite Salem stores, Aroma Sanctum.

This wonderful store is owned by Akuura Kulak who has been designing perfumes since 1980. I am very sensitive to regular perfumes. I hate the chemical smell emitted by them. They quite literally make me sick. When I found Aroma Sanctum I knew I was in luck.

Click for a closer look. Akuura will work with you to create your own personal scent. Or you can select from the oils or the blends she has created.

She can also recreate your favorite perfume without using alcohol or chemicals of any kind.

These oils are highly concentrated and a 1/4 oz. bottle will last a year or more with daily use.

I buy a assortment of different scents and mix them together myself.

I often mix a patchouli, musk and October Moon together. I turn the bottle over on my wrist and just allow the oil to touch it and the scent is very longlasting. You don't even need to use a whole drop.

Akuura keeps your custom mix on file so you can reorder whenever you need more.

She will also make your custom scent into soap, bath gel or body mist. These are also offered in all the scents she stocks.

If you are allergic to regular perfumes chances are you will tolerate these oils much better.

If you are ever in Salem you really should stop by the store and try out some of the oils.

But you can also order online at: www.aromasanctum.com

You will be glad you did. There is really nothing quite like it anywhere else.

These are some of the oils I bought this year. Witchfire is a new one for me and I have worn it every day since I got it.

Make sure to enter this week's giveaway to win two of these lovelies for yourself. Or maybe win them for your girlfriend, wife or mother.

This giveaway includes two vials of oil; China Musk and October Moon.

Also included is this black leather pouch with a skull to keep your oils in. And a Belgium lace sachet which will hold a cotton ball scented with the oil for perfuming your lingerie drawer.

I purchased these myself and did not receive anything from Aroma Sanctum to showcase their store. The value of this giveaway is over 50.00.

To enter just leave a comment on this post. If you are not a follower, sign on to follow. The winner will be announced next Saturday and a new giveaway listed at that time.

You're way too generous, Jaz! What a wonderful giveaway.

I love that she doesn't use any chemical in her perfumes. I have a big problem because I could never find a scent that I call "mine", you know what I mean? It's never the perfect one. Something tells me that maybe here I'll find it! If I don't win the giveaway (crossing fnogers and toes, though! lol),I'll end up odering a custom perfume from her beautiful shop. Thanks for this awesome review!

Kisses fmo Nydia.

Yes, I need to go to salem!!! but in the meantime, enter me in the contest! :)
When I lived in Charleston, S.C. there was a very tiny shop like this. Nothing as special as here. I really don't want my perfume to get there 15 minutes before me and last an hour after I'm gone. Thanks for the ordering info.

Oh, thank you for these! I am into aromatherapy and I too, cannot stand regular perfume.
I am a loyal follower of your blog and I love it.

What a cool shop. I can only imagine what the scents created here must smell like. I also don't care for the chemical odor of most commercial perfumes. With the holidays coming, I will keep this place in mind for a unique gift for my wife.

By the way, thanks again for picking me for last week's give away. I look forward to receiving it. I emailed you with my contact info a little while ago.

Have an enjoyable weekend!

Jaz, you did it again! This is an awesome shop!! I just tweeted it. Over the last month I've been ordering essential oils online from 3 or 4 shops and two shops on etsy mostly for the rare, exotic and witchy oils that I don't have. This is a great shop for all the stock that she has. I noticed that she has alot of fragrances too and I might just get some musk from her. I already ordered the pure ambrette seed oil to use for musk, but it's pricey. And, it's nice to know that you recommend her, as that's been the missing part when I order online. Thanks so much!!

Oh yum, I love finding shops like this - the scents sound delicious and evocative! Commercial scents tend to turn to straight alcohol on me, so I stick to fragrances like this.

What a great store!! So glad you shared this with us.
I too am having problems with perfumes and lotions. Maybe it is my body changing or maybe it is what they are using in the products now, but I am using more and more organic products.
I would love to be included in your drawing!

But back to the bread... Omigoodness... It's the best bread I've made yet. Everyone I fed it to just about melted into pools of bliss. XD

I used rapid rise yeast, so it looked about ready after 12 ish hours. I let it sit for the whole 24, though, but I might pull it after 12 tonight... ^-^

I'm also going to make it half with rye flour & see how that turns out. I'll let you know. And then I'm making a cinnamon & sugar loaf for my in-laws who are coming over Monday morning. I'm excited... (for the bread... lolz...)

I'll have to look up some pics of those German trees... What a fun tradition! XD

I have just found your blog and feel as though I've died and gone to a little blog-heaven. The food, the garden the witch pottery all have intrigued me beyond description! Your stained glass window and garden... I'm hooked. And I'm highly sensitive to most scents, but live in Canada, so don't include me unless you are accustomed to including out-of-country followers. I will certainly join as a follower, and keep creeping through your past posts. Lois from Ontario!
Marvellous shop - wish I could visit.
I'm an aromatherapist and do a little mixing myself, but this is heavenly!
