The Blog Tech requests spritz cookies each year. I hate making them. I don't know if it is just me but I have the worst luck with my spritz maker. It just never works. I even bought the new spritz gun from William Sonoma and it was a no go. I just couldn't get it to work. Since I had the dough made and did not want to waste it, I rolled it out and cut out trees.

I use the basic Betty Crocker spritz dough recipe:
I always use almond extract in my spritz.
These actually get better with age.
I finish them by piping confectioner sugar icing over them.
