Ok....maybe this does not look particularly enticing but it sure tastes great.
Whip some of this up for the football fans in your life and they just might look away from the tv screen to thank you.
Recipe:
1 pound of ground beef
1 cup milk
1 small block of Velvetta cheese
1 can Rotel (or you can use a jar of your favorite salsa)
3 chipotle peppers minced
1 block of Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded
jalapeno peppers
3 tablespoons of granulated garlic, 3 tablespoons of granulated onions and 2 tablespoons of black pepper.
2 tablespoons of seasoned salt mix
Pour the milk into a bowl.
Add 3 tablespoons of oil to a skillet.
Add the ground meat to the pan along with all the spices.
Brown the ground meat thoroughly.
Add the Velvetta cheese to the milk.
Add the shredded cheese.
I used this spice instead of seasoned salt.
Microwave the cheese and milk for 4 minutes. Cover the top of the bowl with waxed paper.
Add the Rotel (or salsa) to the cheese mix.
Finely mince the chipotle peppers and add them to the sauce.
Stir to blend.
Add as many jalapenos as you like.
Pour the cheese mixture into the ground meat.
Warm over low heat stirring to combine. Serve with tortilla chips for a very filling appetizer!
