A Visit to the Lower Gardens

Teddy has fresh bowls of water at her disposal all over our property.

However, she prefers drinking from the lower pond.

I think the fish flavor has something to do with it. Throw in a few noodles and you have fish pho.

Scuse me but does this table make my butt look fat?

G*damn roots.

More garden bitching......the stone bench needs to be reset.

I am thinking chive potato salad and chive omelets?

The cathedral roses are blooming.

I love how the brand new roses rise out of the old foliage.

The forest stalker.

A chestnut hydrangea bud.

An example of an outdoor room that needs lots of work.

Crocuses peeking from under a rock.

LOVE the shot of the crocuses. Just beautiful.

I just love how timid the first blossoms of spring are--they really do seem like they peek out to see if the coast is clear.

The roots remind me of Michelangelo's unfinished slave sculptures.

Look at them like art and maybe they won't bother you as much?

Maybe....

Honey, I can just picture you spinning (along with everything else you do). I used to work with a drop spindle, but it was slow and I found my yarn too loopy and lumpy. Then I switched to a spinning wheel and it was so comforting and a joy to have my own hand spun yarn. I also loved collecting plants and making my own dyes...I think you'd like that too.

Sending love,

What is it with dogs and creek or pond water? They all do it. I have those crazy chives all over my yard. How do they get there? Mine are wild and a lot stronger in flavor than the ones in the herb garden.

I love the photos of the flowers - we do not have camelia, crocuses, daffodils and snowdrops!!!

That outdoor garden looks a lot of work.

Beautiful photographs! and Teddy is as cute as ever :-)

You´ve come so far with spring! The snowdrops are almost flowering but that´s all. But if the temperature keeps staying as high as it is now (51F) I hope things will start here too.

Have a great day now!

So nice to see all those spring flowers. I had a cat that always preferred to drink out of the aquarium too.
Isn't it wonderful how the snow disappears and reveals spring already awake and busy! Lovely photos. Hugs to Teddy.

Now, I've got the get-out-in-the-yard guilts. I hope you're happy. I so love your yard (but, who doesn't!). I know Teddy thinks you created it just for her, too. Great pix, today. We're pretty much into our spring, now, and I'm getting the garden ready. Come visit when you can...
