Then and Now

This was our one day of winter this year.

It was wonderful when it snowed.

But then it rained.

And turned the wonderful snow into this.

This is all I have left now. It won't be long before this last bit is gone. We are going to be in the 60's here.

The spring like weather is warming up some garden friends.

Unlike me, they love this weather.

The chirping has begun.

See the smile!

The grass is even turning green.

Time to decorate the potting table for Spring I guess.

It has been the craziest winter. I have green to my grass too. I'm worried about my poor plants/trees that haven't had a nice long winter's nap.

I am loving this winter. Haven't thought once about my "impossible dream" of being a snowbird, I feel we have been blessed. However, March is a crazy month for weather so I am just enjoying it one day at a time! xo

The lack of a real Winter has been pretty depressing...less than 5" total, and I live at the foot of the Catskill Mountains. I'm still hoping for one big one...

what a beautiful potting bench, now thats dreamy spot if there ever was one, sorry you didn't get the snow you would like but believ me its highly over rated.
We are now into our fourth month of snow and will have it til April.
Your green grass is eye candy to me!

I wish we could swap our winters :-) :-) I have the cold and snow You like and You have the rain and warm weather I want :-) :-)

But it is changing here now, we're having a storm right now and it is fairly warm so most of the snow is gione now. I have to admit I like it :-) :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.
Don't give up, there is still time. I hope you get it and I don't. I have loved this winter. Well not loved, it's still too cold for me. But all the sunny days were great.

You had more snow than a lot of people got this year. :)

Have a wonderful week!

I know how you feel. At least we can look at nice photos & dream. Darn La Nina! I imagine it is affecting your area, too.

I know exactly what you mean. I have 2 daffodils blooming in my yard. They have never bloomed in Feb. before!

WINTER. At least you blinked the moment into permanence. GREAT photos. Maybe next year you'll get more snow. When spring is sprung there is no turning back. take care.

We thought all day Sunday that the rain was turning into snow any minute. Didn't materialize after all. It seems we have probably had our "winter."

You had about one minute of winter this year, finally.

Everything looked so pretty. Then poof! Gone! Would you send the Snow Removal Genie up to my house please?

PS Tonight we had pork burritos with fresh fillings with the leftover Momo.... Pork dish. It was SO SO GOOD!!!!!

Great set of photos. We're looking forward to summer here, now. The weather is warming up nicely and the almond blossom is out.

What a crappy winter here as well, although sneaky late-winter storms usually strike in late Feb and Mar here...

I bet we had more snow than you this year...and then the rain as well. I'm happy to see the sun shining here again and temps creeping up over 45 F. Can't wait for "lale" season! =)

I feel the same way you do. I think it's not right to have a real winter, and am thinking we may get a big early spring snow storm.
I love the fall and winter.

Hi Joyce,

We have more snow left in Munich, but spring weather will soon head our way, too.

Today I thought of you taking this photo!

Greetings from Munich,
Birgit

Hi Joyce....we got about 1 inch last night. For some reason, seeing that snow instead of dead grass is comforting to me! It looks the way it should look I guess? But, alas, it will be 50 today and it will all melt away! Oh well...what are we to do...we cannot control this very weird weather now can we? I love that your garden creatures are coming alive!!
