Irish Soda Bread

I got up at 3:00am and made 7 loaves.


Make sure you score them before baking. This allows the wee fairies to escape.

These are the whiskey cakes wrapped and ready to be delivered. Actually, the neighbors are receiving all of their food right now!

We have a bakery that made good Irish soda bread but it was full of raisins, something that I am not fond of! Thanks to your blog link I can make my own. Your neighbors must just love your treats!!

One of our daughters baked ten loaves of Irish soda bread for the wedding reception of our daughter whose wedding was on Saturday. We didn't use it all, and she left some behind with us!:-) We really like it, and I should bake it more often! We like the whole wheat version.
