My mother has been dead for almost 50 years. I don't remember her very well. My sister has family pictures and each year at Christmas, she makes me a calendar filled with these old photos. I love seeing them and some of them provoke old memories. This one of my mom was taken way before I was born. I always wonder what she was like and what she would be like if she was still around today. For one thing, she would be old. It is really hard imagining what she would have been like as an old lady.
She was long gone by the time I became a mother. Here I am with a brand new shiny Blog Tech. My little Canadian.
My mom was only 40 when she died. You can see she looks much older here. This was a year before she died.
It would have been nice to have her around to see The Mini Blog Tech.
And his little sister.
I had to teach myself how to be a mother.
It has been the best experience of my life. The Blog Tech had a bad case of 'sticking up in the air hair' for a year or so.
Then he and his sister grew up and went through their "modeling' years.
She stuck to it and still has an impeccable sense of fashion, whereas The Blog Tech now is more into dressing for comfort!
He still has not grown out of his clown phase though. He is still quite the clown!
* A mother is a person who seeing there are only 4 pieces of pie for 5 people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.
And this is my favorite which I remind my kids of constantly: You can fool some of the people some of the time but can't fool your mother.
Happy Mother's Day!!!

Btw, magically, when I came here today, no funny box popped up.
Magic, I say! ,-)
Or perhaps it was simply, the Blog Tech...?
Adorable children, Joyce, and I am not likely to say so if I don't mean it. Yep...I know good looking when I see it.
Ok..so now I am off to try (again to catch up and see if the BRACE is off the arm...but got a feeling it might not be.
