This is the Fall flowering Cherry this morning.
The shelter gave me a huge garbage bag filled with these sliced rolls.
I used some to make a strata. This is a recipe I got from an old woman in Quebec many years ago and I have been making it ever since. First, cube your bread.
Add some diced onions, fresh chives and small cubes of ham.
Mix in some grated cheddar cheese, eggs and milk. For one normal sized strata you would use about 10 pieces of bread cubed, 6 eggs, 3 cups of milk, 2 tsp. snipped chives, 1 tsp. dry mustard, 1 tsp. salt, 2 cups shredded cheddar and 1/2 medium onions diced fine.
I pour some melted butter over the top about 20 minutes before it is done cooking.
This can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner with a salad. It smells wonderful when it is baking.

Christer.
I see this on my plate soon.
happy day.
I LOVED the shot of the yard..I imagine it is quite a job to get back in shape after a long winter. My yard is tiny in comparison and it's a chore!
