| The Blog Tech and I headed out to a Fall festival early on Saturday morning. I always took my kids to festivals when they were small and they still enjoy going to them. |
We drove through lots of farm country.
We arrived just as they opened and there were already lots of cars.
The entrance looked so inviting that I knew we were in for some fun.
The entire festival village is set up under towering trees.
A fall theme filled the place and I couldn't get enough of it.
I wanted the big basket in the worst way and for some reason did not buy it. Now I am regretting my decision.
I did find another broom shop and bought some. Just what I needed, more brooms. As I was standing in line to pay for my brooms, they sold out. It was right after opening but the shop was swamped and all of the brooms were gone. They were only 12.95 so people really scooped them up.
Permanent sunflowers.
The food booths were lots of fun.
There were lots of BBQ places.
Wood smoke filled the air which added to the atmosphere.
This was The Blog Tech's favorite. A BBQ'd pulled pork parfait. It consisted of BBQ'd pork layered with mashed potatoes and topped with a 'cherry' tomato and BBQ sauce. It was really delicious but I made him throw it out after a few bites because I told him not to get full so we could sample everything else. He pouted.

| He chowed down until I tossed it. TBT shaved his head at the beginning of summer and it is just starting to fill back in. |
We sampled fried green tomatoes.
And fried mushrooms which were quite good.
It wasn't too crowded but that changed quickly.
Lots of Halloween crafts were for sale.
Musicians were preforming throughout the festival.
More baskets.
A ribeye sandwich and a stacked ham sandwich. We took one bite and threw them out. Not very good.
I'll show more tomorrow and reveal what I came home with.

I would LOVE to see a Fall festival here. There are faires in the UK, which can be akin to it. In Québec, we had something somewhat similar, an "épluchette de blé d'inde", which was about peeling the leaves off sweet corn.
AND THE FOOD. It all looked good. Blog Tech looked like he was enjoying himself. Then I thought of the food he gets at home.
OH..and how is it going with his new little cottage?? That was the sweetest little place!
