Still Cooking

The center held a 'bring your sibling to the program' day to see if they could sign kids up for next year.  I made lots of food in anticipation of many more kids being there.  One sibling came.  The food was not wasted though, it was shared with a neighboring town that has the same program.

The program wraps up tomorrow until next Fall.

For the last days, I have been taking requests.

I am really going to miss cooking for these kids.

BTW, I've never met any of them. They are still in school when I drop the food off.

I told you before I thought it was a shame they don't meet you,, you have certainly put a mark on their life and I'm sure they will have fond memories of your cooking, I can't believe only ONE sibling came, why is that,, so no more cooking all summer?
Everything looks wonderful by the way! We are huge pasta salad fans, ( that is pasta salad right?)

Amazing that they haven't met you! You must have a commercial grace kitchen to prepare all that food!

One wonders what these children will have during the summer to fill the void. There is such a need for programs like this in the summer, too!

I did not know you had not met them! My gosh! It makes it all so much better, somehow. I wish there was a way to help thru the summer... and I'm surprised at the lack of interest for fall!

jaz - when the kids describe the delicious food to their family and friends, they describe a beautiful angel who makes the delicious food! that's how you will live in their minds and memories for the rest of their lives when they share stories about the beautiful angel and the food she made! and who wouldn't want to be remembered as a beautiful angel?

many stars will be in your crown. many, many stars! your friend,
kymber

Every time I visit you, I get hungry! Some day, you'll find me on your actual doorstep. :-)

You are a miracle worker in the kitchen. And although you've never met, I know those kids are appreciative of everything you did for them. You made a difference in their lives, I can guarantee it.
