I like to surprise The Blog Tech with some of his favorites for lunch and I am sure he was happy to get this rather than a sandwich. We love all things Korean at our house and Korean food is at the top of our list. |
The day before you prepare this, you want to very thinly slice 1 pound of beef and marinate it in 3 T. sesame oil, 3 T. soy sauce, 1 tsp. fish sauce, 3 T. brown sugar, 3 T. grated fresh ginger and 4 minced garlic cloves. I put it in a ziplock bag and toss it every now and then.
The next day saute it in a heavy pan over high heat in a few tablespoons of canola oil with 1 sliced onion until browned.
Add some bok choy.
Add several thinly sliced carrots and stir fry for 1 minute.

The vegetables should still be crisp. |
Serve it over rice with a dollop of gochujang sauce and a sprinkling of green onions and sesame seeds. This is good stuff and healthy too.

enough said, lol,,,
I do like Asian food but I have never tried Korean, I don't think we have single Korean restaurant in this country to be honest and I've learned that the Chinese food we eat in restaurants here actually is Vietnamese :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
Do you ever make jap chae?
