Unless you are a garden geek, this will be a very boring post. Somehow I find this time of year the most exciting. It is so much fun to watch the gardens come back to life. I am about to take this table apart and rebuild it. It's pretty rickety. This old farm table has served me well as a potting bench. It has been sitting here in the elements for 7 years.
The blooms have mostly blown off of the flowering cherry at this point.
New growth on the Oakleaf Hydrangeas.
Arugula, lettuces and radishes are poking out in the raised planter.
I practically jump out of bed each morning to run out to the garage and check on my plants. I just planted this tray a few days ago. It holds hollyhocks, foxgloves and poppies and they are popping up already.
My vegetables are almost ready to be transplanted into larger pots.
I've started artichokes, celery, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, okra, cucumbers, pumpkins, herbs, onions, beets and I can't even remember what else. Thank god for markers!
I started about 8 kinds of tomatoes. I have a friend that is going on vacation at the end of this month and she had no one to watch over plants if she started them so I am starting all of her plants for her this year.
They are warm and snugly under their lights. Good thing because it is going to be 8 degrees outside tomorrow. How are your plants growing.

We are far behind You, nothing but hazel bushes flower here yet, well the crocus and lungwort does too.
I'm late with the tomatoes and I need to make my vegatable garden bigger so I can put down all the potatoes I've bought. This is the best time of the year :-)
Have a great day!
Christer.
