Countdown To Fall

Sunrise is a little later and sunset a bit earlier. As I tidied up my kitchen desk this morning, it put me in a very Fall mood.

I'm glad I'm not the only one counting down to fall. I should be tidying up but instead I'm sitting in my chair with my little dog and cup of coffee. Happy weekend!

I'm not happy about it but I can see the signs here, the birds are already gathering together and the bird song has more or less stopped here now.

I live in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, so our mornings are always a little cool. Then comes the day, when the coolness has a slight edge, and I can feel autumn drawing near.

I thought I was the only one. I've been putting out autumn decorations little by little such as my crystal pumpkins, chrysanthemums, and yellow and orange candles. David said I'm jumping the gun like Walmart.

It has been way too hot recently with the return of a heatwave, but in the evening sometimes the air is cooler. The days don't look like they are getting any shorter yet.

Oooh! I LOVE your display!!! Though Joyce, I'm hoping fall arrives a little later this year! I love the heat and humidity and our summer seems to have just begun! :)
