The ingredients: | ½ cup warm water 1 tsp sugar 2 Tbsp yeast 1 Tbsp Olive oil | 3 tablespoons minced fresh herbs 3 Tbsp. Sugar 2 tsp salt 2 cups water 1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes 6 cups flour (approx.) |
I cut these into a dozen large rolls. You can make them smaller or even make them into dinner rolls.
I brushed the tops of mine with an egg, beaten with a bit of water and then sprinkled with shredded Asiago cheese and a sprinkling of Italian herbs.
Bake them at 350 degrees until golden, about 20 minutes.
These would make good hamburger buns too.
I freeze them and just pull out as many as I need at any given time.
These can turn even ordinary sandwiches something special.
