I'm having a rather fancy dinner party on Sunday and am making a rich French meal. I like to offer appetizers during cocktail hour but I need to serve something on the light side since the dinner is so heavy. I thought that shrimp cocktails would be perfect. Who doesn't like a delicious, fresh shrimp cocktail. Okay, maybe some of you don't, but they always remind me of the decadent meals at fancy restaurants and country clubs back in the 70's.
The secret is a good homemade cocktail sauce which is so very easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup chili garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
