A Fall Wedding

I might finally get to make this cake for a wedding this coming Fall.  My Daughter and The Chef got engaged yesterday!!!  They celebrated Valentine's Day early because he is working on the actual day and he popped the question!  We are beyond excited.  I have a  Fall wedding to plan.  What could be more fun? 

The ring is stunning.  I'll try to get a better pic.


It was placed in an antique sterling box from Birks  in Toronto.   My Daughter said it looks like the ring that Trey gave to Charlotte on Sex and The City.

Now where can I find a pumpkin carriage for the wedding day?

If you're willing to go to Sister's, Oregon, there is a pumpkin carriage in an art gallery there! Ken Scott's Imagination Gallery. If you Google him the photo of his pumpkin carriage turns up!

That's great news and congratulations to the both of them! An autumn wedding would be great. My wife and I got married a little before, while it was still August, but still one could feel the new season coming. And you know what is greater than an auutmn wedding? An autumn baby!

This is great news for your family. I love the Birks ring box as well and cherish my own, although at only 35 years young, it's not quite an antique. There will be lots of activity ahead and I look forward to seeing your creativity as you plan. May we assume there will be some cookie baking in your future?
