Inoculation

I got my second shot yesterday morning.  My two covid shots have been absolutely painless.  In fact, the pharmacist had to tell me that he had given me the shot and I was done, as I sat there like a dummy waiting for the pinch.  Twenty-four hours after my first shot, I got a killer migraine and did not feel well for the next 32 hours.  I was still able to do everything I needed to do but I just didn't feel 100%.  So far with this shot, I feel fine.  My husband had no symptoms with either of his shots. So, by the end of today if I don't get sick, I guess I am out of the woods.  We both got the Moderna vaccine. Now we wait the allotted time to build up our immunity.  I am so very happy to be one of the fortunate people to have received this vaccine so soon.  Have you received your shots yet?  Have you had any side effects from them?  Which vaccine did you receive? I'm already planning the things I will do once I can wander back out into the world.  Of course, we will continue to wear masks and take all of the other precautions. It seems like perfect timing coinciding with Spring.

I had my second Pfizer vaccine on 2/26! Was so lucky as many still waiting to be notified and able to set up an appointment. Getting an appointment in south New Jersey was the very difficult part but once you had appointment the mega centers run by the national guard and state police were absolutely wonderful! Vaccinating 35 easy 15 minutes. Can’t believe it’s been a year since shut down. I have been lucky and have been going out following precautions through most of this. I even had two knees replaced and just finishing up PT tomorrow from the last one. Amazing what we have learned from all this......happy to see businesses slowly opening up.....will be interesting to see what our new normals are. If we have to wear masks to keep people safe and alive I can do that!

I am scheduled for second shot on 3/26. We got the Pfizer vaccine and no problems first shot. Hoping not too bad after second shot. My son after second Moderna got all the side effects, yet lasted just 24 hours. Small price to pay I think. We received ours at Walgreens pharmacy so easy like going to your local Dr. I cannot wait until we can get together for families gatherings again. Expecting 7th ( first for my son) grandchild late this summer would like to hold new baby! We will see and be careful, anyway I have all those pretty masks.

I had my first Moderna shot on January 28th, the 2nd shot on February 25th, and nothing more then a little tenderness at the injection site!
I live in a senior residence and our Manager set up a clinic with the County Health Dept., so the County Nurses came in to give the shots!
Sadly, not everyone in this building signed up for the vaccine, so it will be due to their selfishness and fear of the vaccine that we will have to continue to wear masks in the building when we are around some of these people! :(
Keep doing what you know you need to do to keep yourself safe and to protect those around you!
Check under your arms for any swelling of the lymph nodes. It happened to me a few days after the shot and I did not put 2 + 2 together right away. It was painful and worrying. Since many of us ladies put off our Mam last year and plan on having it done after we are vaccinated, it is recommended that you wait about six weeks.
Glad you're fully immunized now! I'm scheduled to get my first shot this coming Tuesday of the Oxford AstraZeneca. But in Canada, they are delaying the second shots of all vaccines for FOUR months in order to use our supplies to give the first shot to as many people as possible. I'm not thrilled about that, but the experts say a four month window is permissible. Hmmmm.

I'm glad to hear it's good so far Joyce. I have no clue when and if I'll get vaccinated! Doesn't seem to be too urgent here in NB. I'm sure I'll be one of the lasts!!
I have to get mine from my allergist since I had a serious reaction to a vaccine once. He has not received the vaccine yet, so I wait. Once I get the vaccine, I will be observed for an hour.

I got moderna 12/24 and 1/21 (healthcare worker) felt like a truck hit me on the second dose - could not work. I would do it all again and be the first in line. SO grateful for everyone who contributed to this for all of us.
I received the 1st Moderna vaccine last week. Didn't feel it right away, felt great the first couple of hours after. Woke up from a nap with a VERY sore arm, achy, low fever. Didn't feel great for 2 days after. I'll get my 2nd on April 1st! I have been in quarantine since February of last year as I went thru chemo last year starting then. Never went out except for doc visits. I can't wait to join the world again. I'm disabled so my friends and I formed a bubble so we could stay safe as we could all year (they have health issues too). I'm still going to be careful, and wear a mask outside. I'm so happy people are able to come out into the world again.

Husband I both had Moderna. My first shot was January 19th. It was a really bad jab. There was blood on the Band-aid and I had bruise for 12 days and it hurt like the dickens. For our second shots, my husband had a rough patch of about 16 hours with all over body aches, rapid heart rate and pulse oximeter showed 90%. I had 5 hours of intense chills with shuddering shivers. That was 23 days ago. I'm just about ready to go back into the water and the first outing will be a haircut....my last one was Feb 14 2020.
