What is it about Trump that attracts people?

 
 Trump's popularity among a certain demographic is that he is willing to say out loud what they were embarrassed to admit.

Trump called Mexicans rapists and murderers and his people said “Yeah, that's what I always thought, too."
Trump called news sources “fake," and the rabid right said, “You know, I never trusted them, either."
Trump declared the Federal bureaucracy a “deep state" and the faithful told themselves, “Well, they were all appointed by liberals, after all."
Trump gave these people permission to think what must never be thought, to say what must never be said, to do what must never be done, and they worship him as a secular messiah.

These who believe were always there under the slimy side of the rock. Trump gave them a voice but they need to get back under that rock and stay there! We were better without them. We are better than that!

His followers are a cult that can't think for themselves. They worship the ground he walks on cause he has a big mouth and isn't afraid to use his big mouth. He says what they think and they love him for it. He's a sad little man and they're all sad little people.

Yes but we should remember that during his 4 years in office his approval rating never reached over 50%. Also remember that Hillary won the popular vote in 2016 - Trump won through the Electoral College - Clearly, our guardrails need strengthening.
