My daughter made her father a coconut cream pie with a coconut/graham cracker crust, coconut pastry cream, toasted coconut caramel and coconut whipped cream. He loved it.
Winnie has to go out just before sun up to get a walk in this horrible weather. It was 75 degrees at 4:00 am with high humidity. At least the sun wasn't out. Today it is going to be close to 100 degrees. She is so hot when she returns that she gets a big drink and then almost lays in her drinking fountain. Thank heavens for stone floors and fans!
This might look like a smile but it's actually panting. Does Winnie have the whitest dog teeth you have ever seen. She's like the Farrah Fawcett of chow chows.

I do like coconut though so I'm pretty sure I would have loved it :-)
At least we almost always have chilly nights here even if we're in a heat wave but we were out at those hours too just to get at least one walk without risk getting boiled.
