Easter for the Kids

I offered to make Easter dinner for The Blog Tech's kids yesterday.  Some of the kids won't have anything special at all so I like to give them at least something to celebrate the holiday.

I baked a ham and sliced it for them.

It was cooked in a mustard and brown sugar glaze.

They love my pimento mac and cheese so I made two big containers of it and topped it with bacon crumbles.

I also made them a chocolate cake with pink buttercream frosting.  Tomorrow I am making them a giant Easter basket.

Makes me wish I was one of the kids!

I would be happy to eat that too. Nice that they get something special for Easter.

I hate ham. Otherwise the rest is lovely. I used to hate that aspect of Easter: ham on the menu. I used to eat omelette or hard boiled eggs instead. Then I discovered lamb. Until I married a vegetarian. Now I’m back to omelette at Easter.
