Garden Time

It's time to start my seeds.

I'm actually a bit late with some of them.

I've had a lot of time during this very snowy, wonderful winter to plan my gardens and I've ordered lots of seeds.

My grow room has been cleaned, set up and is ready to do it's magic.

I have a lot of changes planned for this year and I am going to plant my lower garden with more plants than I ever have before.  Last year I had a lot of trees cut down so I have more light and I am going to take advantage of it. I'm also going to plant a lot more flowers this year.

I'm not planting a wide array of vegetables but rather concentrating on growing lots of healthy tomatoes and peppers, cukes and hopefully eggplants. And celery...it's one of my most favorite things to grow.

The biggest change is that I am going to move my horse trough planters down to the lower garden to see how they do down there.  This will be quite the endeavor. I have to empty all of them and scrub them down, move them below and then fill them up again.

Another plan is to start a cottage garden around my witch shed.  It needs a proper witch garden!

A pic of the lower vegetable garden before the witch shed was built. I'm excited to get started!

I wish I had your gardening skills, your garden and your garden shed. I love the shed.

I should probably go get the seed starting stuff out of the shed, bring it to the garage and let it warm up a bit. I have about 3-4 weeks before thinking about starting too much, other than maybe the onion seeds and some greens. Even your veggie garden is pretty!
I've also started now. So far tomatoes and tee tomatoes but I'll also sow some melon seeds and a pumpkin sort today. I already have flowerseeds in pots outside, they need cold weather to germinate so I hope I'm not too loate because it is unusually warm here right now.

Have a great day!

Christer.
I must ask My Rare One if she's planning on starting some seedlings for her garden. The only thing she's growing at the moment is a spindly little cannabis plant that she started from a seed in last summer's garden. It's got to the point now where it's starting to sprout tiny Buds and give off a faint skunky smell. We're so proud!

So much to do and so little time to get it all done. I love your Witch shed.

I wish you could take a stroll through my garden and tell me what to do.. I really don't know where to start.. There is a lot of trial and error happening over here.
I am trying drought tolerant plants like creeping thyme to survive the Greek summer, but tree wise and flower wise I am at a loss...

Every year I plant tomatoes, cucumbers and squashs. Every year I deal with blossom root on my tomatoes, I've tried everything I know of to not have it. Not long ago I read and article about blossom rot and how many tomatoes it destroys. And to think I thought it was my gardening skills. So once again I'll be planting a garden.
