Garden Work

I had a wonderful Easter this year and I didn't cook. I need to use my days without workers to get things done at the guest house so weekends have been filled with work.  My daughter sent me these beautiful flowers.

It was a crisp 38 degree morning which, for me, is perfect for outside work.  I love chilly weather.  We carried bags of mulch to place inside each of the perrons and then used a tamper to compact it. Eventually we ran out of mulch and still have 12 more to do.  Each perron takes almost an entire bag. After days of cleaning and raking leaves, we got the ponds and creek working.  My daughter and her husband helped which made the job so much easier.  At least 20 lawn bags were filled.

Then I tackled the potting shed.

This was quite a job because I never closed it up properly last Fall because of Willie's surgery.

So, everything had to be taken out and cleaned and then put back in place.

The W's laid in the garden the entire time and watched for attack squirrels!

And check this out!  Two of my workers dug these holes to pour footers for the new stone pillars that will be part of the exterior redo at the guest house.  They dug 6 of these.  This would be a good time to get rid of those bodies in my basement!

Wow, the work never ends! I hope you get some leisure time soon, Joyce!

That was a very busy Sunday! Looks like you would have to drop the bodies in standing up, hahahaha.

I had to look up perrons- you’re always teaching me something or giving me ideas! Sounds like great work!

I understand it is much cooler where you live, but aren't you worried about candles melting in the shed? That's something I can't do here in the South. I used LED flameless candles in my studio shed. Otherwise wax would cover everything in the summer.

Well, yes, now would be a good time to get rid of your collected bodies! Creepy. Linda in Kansas
I've had a cold the entire easter so I've done very little.

Yes always use the opportunities when You have them :-) :-) :-)

Happy Easter!

The perrons look great Joyce, that's a LOT of work to do, no wonder you're not cooking dinner!
