My Favorite Festival

I am on the road way before sunrise to drive to what might be my favorite Fall festival.  I'm not quite sure why I like this one as much as I do because it is quite small and, compared to other ones, there isn't all that much going on at it.  It's actually more like a farmer's market than an actual festival. I think it might be the timing because this is the first festival where we are almost certain to have cool weather.  It is also located right smack in the middle of Amish country and almost every home along the way sets up tables in front of their homes selling whatever they have prepared.  You can find local fruit and vegetables that have just been picked as well as canned items, baked goods, homemade noodles and knitted and crocheted items.  It's in a beautiful little valley surrounded by mountains.  I am expecting to see some wonderful colors along the way.  I'll be back tomorrow with photos of our little journey.

On a side note I love the gabble of geese, a sure sign autumn is on its way.
