Finally!

My new gates and arches were finally installed at the guest house on Monday.  They were ready quite a while ago but we needed a warm day for installation and we certainly have had our share of warm days recently. This has been a long time coming since I had the posts installed early last Summer.

I designed them and found an iron worker to make them for me. Each arch has a crow sitting on top of it.

I am having barge boards made to insert in the areas above all of the doors so the funky looking boards will be replaced with something quite beautiful. They probably won't be ready until late Spring though.

We added some snakes to the gates.

My intention was to grow climbing roses over the arches but I like them so much that I think I will scratch that idea. I might install a pergola above the garage doors and grow roses over it. I am still figuring things out.  This is definitely a work in progress.

It sure has breathed new life into the old house.

Willie is thrilled to have a new area where he can sit and watch the world go by.

I agree have nothing growing over them , beautiful. You should draw a overhead map of your property, I can visualize where the guest house sits.
Those arches are too spectacular to cover!
