Gardening

I've been MIA due to gardening projects.  I have so many things to do in the lower gardens that I've bee going out just as the sun rises and i don't stop until evening arrives.  This is the bed where we recently removed the tree. It was a lot of work to get the stump out but my husband finally did it. Then I cleaned up the bed and prepared it for planting.  Once again, it doesn't look like much right now but in the next year or two it should fill in nicely.  I added dragon's blood grass, hostas, ferns, ajugas, a climbing hydrangea, brunnera, campanulas, and miniature petunias.  Some of my herbs are in the pots.

I'm not sure about the birdbath.  It might eventually be planted with succulents or it might come out altogether, we shall see.

Two beds done and one more big one to go.

It looks great. I love anything with rocks, hosta and ferns. Add in water (which I think I see over to the left) and it's perfect!
You would never know there used to be a tree or a stump there! That's a lot of hard work!

Your newly planted flowerbeds look outstanding and I love all the stone surrounding the beds. You will have no need for a gym membership! I tell my friends I garden and this is my fitness program. Removing trees and stumps is hard work. I have used a pick-axe to ease the job with some success.
That is going to be beautiful when it all fills in. Well, it is pretty now. I love hosta.
