Thank you! I knew this, but the religious or superstitious types think I am evil not to forgive a person who continues to harm. When I have fogiven a person begging and crying for forgiveness, it just seems like I have given permission for the person to continue attacks.
Forgiveness should never be about making the perpetrator feel better.

Indeed. I'd tend to think forgiveness is overrated: it's often a way to exonerate bad behaviour. Why be good when you can be forgiven?

I beleive forgiveness is a gift given to oneself. It is not given away.

I often think forgiveness should be ask not given . If that makes sense,I should ask for your forgiveness. You may give it or not.
