A Fall Festival

Once again, we headed to the highlands to enjoy the Fall colors.  It was a cloudy day so they weren't as vibrant as they would have been if the sun was out but believe me, they were glorious.

This festival is held out in a field at the base of the highlands, a perfect setting.

There were lots of holiday decorations being sold.

Lots of Amish baked goods were for sale.

A flax scutching exhibit.

I was standing right here when this bell was rung and I had trouble hearing for a while afterwards.

The booth on the left sell everything apples!  You can buy a slice of freshly bakes bread spread with apple butter.  They sell warm cobblers, taffy and caramel apples, apple pies, etc..  The booth of the right was selling huge heads of cabbage for 5.00 each and homemade sauerkraut.  I brought many containers home with me.

One of my weaknesses, wooden bowls. I was so tempted but I did not succumb.

Amish boxes.

I love dulcimers.

A quilting house in the woods.  I'll post more pics of the trip tomorrow.

I love autumn festivals. And in the wood as well. My dream. Great pictures.
I loved the wooden bowls. I have never seen ones like those, so I would have bought my first one right then.
