Merry Christmas Eve

I finally had time to download pics I've been taking on my camera.  The previous pics have been from My Daughter's phone.  Most of the cookies have been delivered and the rest go out today!

We ended up making 900 cookies.  I think I forgot some in the last count.

After assembling the platters, I decorated each one.  Some got little ornaments.

We've had a lot of new neighbors this year.  I delivered a platter to each one to welcome them to the neighborhood.

Yesterday was The Blog Tech's MIL's birthday so My Daughter baked her a Yule log cake.

Here are some of the platters lined up.  I made 20 of them.

A closeup of the cake with meringue mushroom, which she also made.

Since the MIL is Brazilian, I made her pao de queijo which are delicious little cheese puffs.

And I made her coxinhas.  These are little balls of dough wrapped around a shredded chicken and cream cheese filling, then breaded and deep fried.  Though it takes quite a while to make them, they are definitely worth the effort.  Merry Christmas Eve to everyone!  Time for me to wrap presents!

Merry Christmas to You and Your family too!
When your new neighbours receive a cookie platter, they will KNOW they've moved to the right neighbourhood! Your daughter's Yule log cake is magnificent -- so beautifully iced and decorated, delicious too, I'm sure.

This is better than Welcome Wagon. I need the recipe for the last picture. I wonder if I can cook it other than deep frying. You are definitely a good neighbor full of Christmas cheer.
