I got up at 4:00 am this morning. I let the pup out and checked the gates. I turned the oven on to proof and the other to bake. I took my bread dough out, formed a loaf and set it in the oven to rise. I started the bacon. Then I made a pie crust and baked a cherry pie. While the pie was baking I started the coffee and made tea. I sliced up poblano peppers and fried them in a little evoo and sprinkled them with sea salt and cracked pepper. I sliced the last of yesterday's bread and made toast. I made two caprese sandwiches for lunches and packed lunch for my daughter and her boyfriend. I cracked a bunch of eggs and added them to the peppers and made a frittata. My daughter showed up for breakfast and I gave her tea and frittata and toast with rhubarb. She left for work with the lunches and a breakfast sandwich for her boyfriend which i made with the bacon and frittata on an english muffin with fontina cheese. I took the pie out of the oven and baked the bread. Then my son came over for breakfast and coffee. After he left I roasted a chicken with carrots and fennel. Then i re-potted the loofahs. I started some cockscombs, tomatillos and thai basil. I moved all the sprouting seeds from the warming mats to the lights. I planted more rows of carrots, 3 pots of strawberries and some red velvet lettuce. I cleaned the back porch because the new porch furniture arrives today. Now I am waiting for the rain and the furniture.

Christer.
My best time to work and cook is evening. I am full of energy and ideas after supper !
Sadly it will be 5 in the morning all summer for me... Grouchy, grouchy ;)
I see you put as much details to everything you do : decorating, gardening, cooking... how envious I am !! ;)
I used to get up at 4 to go swim at the local Y, but it has become very hard to wake up and stay awake at 4 now that I'm not sleeping well.
Blessings
