Hmmm, my uncle died in Viet Nam too. In 1971. So sad.
He is buried in the Punch Bowl.
He was my mother's only brother.

So lucky to have the time you did. People can be in your life a short time and still have an enormous influence on you and your parenting the rest of your life. All my family members who passed when I was young, they're with me every day in my mannerisms, my hobbies, my method of parenting...Live short, leave a big impression. He was a very handsome man! I bet he had a great sense of humor. You can just feel it.
