A picture of the Salem Witch Trials on the side. This is the picture of the witches being condemned.

A little Macbeth on the backs.....

She designed these and sent them the art work and they custom made the shoes. How cool is that?????

I am so very glad that you love your shoes. It was the hardest thing in the world not to tell you all about them! I had to wait one whole month!!! I love you very muchie!! Cannot wait to make you another pair!

The manufacturer of this shoe surely had you in mind. Unbelievable! It's a beauty.

Sorry about picking on the Rebel. If I had known that it was your camera, I would have used another example (it just figures that it had to be, out of thousands, your camera!)

Incidentally, I don't have a tripod. So all the shots are handheld. I don't have a macro lens either.

The lighting for your figurine collection can be a tricky thing. Think of the time they spend in the studio lighting a box of soap. A whole team of photographers and countless hours.

I'm not a photographer, so I can't really comment on studio lighting. What is it you don't like about your photos (or your camera)?

It also depends a lot on what you want to capture. Realism or impressionism. You'll notice that my pictures are not necessarily in the reality camp. I try to isolate the subject, but often take things way out (intentional overexposure, color alterations, etc, etc).

I'm guessing that you want more realistic pictures than mine. Am I right? In which case, I think you should be able to get them out of your camera.

You'll notice that the witch's face (first shot on your June 2 post) is overexposed. Porcelain is highly reflective and tricky to light (remember the team of photographers for that soap box). Even more of a challenge since you have a three-dimensional object with very dark areas, as in the dress, and very light - the face. Is this the kind of thing you're not pleased about?
