The Other Garden

Today's pics are from my son's garden which is really mine since I do all the work! This is a butterfly bush that at the time of the photo was butterflyless.

However, I found a bee.

And then 2 bees.

Busy bees.

Phlox

Daisies

Daisy with bee

Bean blossom

Potato flowers

Scotch Broom pod

Pine cone

I can´t have that species of Butterfly bush over here, the climate is to tough for it. But I do have a realitive to it. It flowered so nicely a couple of weeks ago, when we had no butterflies! Now when we have them, no flowers on my bush :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

Very pretty! My butterfly bushes are still weeks away from blooming. Yay for potato flowers...3 weeks now until you can dig those babies up! :-)
Oh, and by the way...the cake? It was a huge hit. So big, I can't even tell you. Gone in a day and a half (split between 1 grown man and a 17 year old boy) and they're already clamoring for more. I made two adjustments...I added about 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the batter (giving the cake just a wee bit of crunch) and I reduced the amount of powdered sugar in the frosting...OMG...heavenly!! Thanks for sharing.
