More From My Daughter's Little Stone Cottage

This is a brass Salem Witch bed warmer. You fill this with hot coals from the fire and just before going to bed in cold weather you run it between the sheets and blankets to warm up your bed. This is a very rare piece.

This is the magic wand from the movie A Simple Wish with Kathleen Turner.

A nightlight in the powder room. I love this piece. The left hand shades the glare from the bulb and it gives off a very soft glow.

This is a string dispenser. It is the face of an old witch in a pumpkin. Again, this is a rare piece. These were usually hung on kitchen walls.

I haven't seen a string dispenser in YEARS but people used to have them (you're right) on their kitchen walls when I was a kid. LOVE the two-handed lamp! I want one! And about that bed-warmer: I want to say "Cool!" but that just doesn't seem right, somehow!

I like the bed warmer! a long time since I saw one. But I´ve always wondered, can´t it be too hot? So a fira can be started?
Have a great day now!

Amazing finds--used so artfully. I do love that bedwarmer and especially the two handed nightlight. As a ghost hunter, I can appreciate how eerie two white glowing hands coming out of the wall could be!

I am sorry but those hands freak me out!

Now, a magic wand I could use. Maybe it could process the 12lbs of cherries and 40lbs of apples I just brought home, eh?
