Witch Spoons and Drought

This witch spoon is from Scandinavia.

Under the witch it reads......Deefteling Kaatsheuvfl.....anyone care to translate. Maybe it is Dutch?

This is another Daniel Low witch spoon from Salem. It shows a witch on her broom flying over The House of the Seven Gables.
Oops....these are out of order. Here is a close up of the needed translation.

Just under the witch it reads... House of Seven Gables. The House of the Seven Gables is the famous novel by Nathaniel Hawthorne who lived in Salem.

Then it reads Salem Mass.

Everything is in bad shape here because of the drought. The dirt is dry and hard.

Dead leaves everywhere.

Dead tomato leaves.

Dead Nasturtium leaves.

Dead ferns

Dead clematis

The leaves that aren't dead are on their way to getting there.

All of mt moss has dried up and turned gray.

This is my Irish Moss......boohoo!!! Rain rain rain..I need rain!!!!

Oh, I love that spoon. I always wanted to get a Scandinavian kitchen witch. My dad came from Norway and he always insisted we had one in the kitchen. Mother was Scottish and thought it was bad luck. They compromised and hung it in the window between the kitchen and breakfast room. Hee hee.
You must do the nekkid rain dance out in your garden!

I am sorry about your drought. They just declared Montana out of drought after 10 years!

We have had sporadic rains lately but we put the sprinkler on the garden at night.

oh no! your poor plants! They will fight back , they must! Pretty spoons by the way! Yeah, do a rain dance! Tell us when you are going to do it and we can all do one with you and bring on the rain! I am dancing now!
Hope you are well!
Some of my plants are having trouble. I end up digging up my wax beans.

Coffee is on.

the dutch wording under the witch on the spoon is the name of a theme park in the Netherlands.
