Redware

I told you I would show you what I did with the new redware so here it is. This first pic is a wall shelf that usually holds my French redware as you can see.

I replaced it with my American redware. You can see the new raven and pumpkin plates on the bottom shelf. I also put up those maple leaf plates I bought a while back.

This is another cabinet with the French redware.

And now it holds the other collection. Nothing like a picture to point to things out of line. I am going down there as soon as I post this to straighten those plates out.

This is a huge serving platter. Most of my really nice decorative pieces are too large to display so there are no pictures of them. <}:o( Sorry!

*Halloween Memories: Does anyone remember the window decals that were made out of fiberglass? They stuck to the window with static electricity. You had to rub the fiberglass against your clothes and then push them against the window to make them stick. I would pick fiberglass particles out of my skin for days after.

I can't say that I remember these cling ons to which you speak. Hmmmm....

I am making goat's milk caramel sauce today. I am playing with the recipe to try and make orange caramel sauce. It will either taste good or be a complete disaster.

I truly am sorry about Teddy.....

I remember those. Window clings. They have them now, but they're made from inferior materials and don't stick very well. We would be picking the particles out , too.

Jaz, your home is beautiful...the dressers look lovely as both settings...I am a little envious of your green plates...I love green things.
How's the little Teddy?
Great redware, but I really like Your wall shelf and the cabinette!! I´ve been looking for something like that over here, but without success. There are newer ones ofcourse but they aren´t as good looking as Yours!
How´s Teddy?
Have a great day now!
Christer.

Yes, I remember those decals! We never decorated for Halloween because no one was brave enough to come up the half mile long driveway and up to the spooky mansion on the hill, but my friends used to have those in their windows. I remember that I used to pick at my Halloween candy until all that was left was Bit O' Honey (I hated those).

I wouldn't be able to choose which I prefer : before or after ? You give me ideas for our next house. I like the way you play with the colors and keep it simple.

I found myself thinking of you today as I was looking out over my pumpkin patch. I have my first female flower and she's sitting on such a cute pumpkin - in - embryo, and I was thinking how much the closed flower looked like a witch's hat, and then you popped into my mind! Beautiful redware, and a gorgeous cabinet.
The dogs of the Island Farm all wish Teddy well!
