Halloween

Please knock on my door today.

Then take off your shoes and enter.

Leave your broom by the door.

Come and sit by the fire.

We can take out our needles and finish our costumes.

Though there are some scary creatures out there on Halloween....

....the one you will find here is not.

On this day some of these....

..will end up like this.

You might see some scary living people.....

....and you might even see the dead.

There may be real witches around....

....but maybe you will just see ghouls.

And after today some of these might become....

...one of these.

I am just going to enjoy the day. It is rainy and cold so I am making a fire.

And snuggling up in my Halloween house.

And eating Halloween food.

And remembering that on Halloween beware...of things that go bump in the night!!!

I hope you all have a magical Halloween and thank you for all your Halloween greetings!!!

****I am heading out early tomorrow for another road trip. My blog tech has me loaded with posts to use until I return. I will post pics of the trip when I get back.

****I also promise to post pics of the bat stew and the spiderweb bread tomorrow!

Joyce, my name is Eileen (aka: atrueoriginall) and I own the Paranormal Casebook. I was referred to your blog by Autumnforest and I've been following your daily blog posts for the past two months. Today I posted something special for you in my blogs.

Since your comment area will not accept html, please Google the following title and it will take you to that post.

Google - Paranormal Daily News: The Last 24 - Oct 31, 2009

Great job in here! So many fun things, absolutely beautiful garden - wonderful recipes, great looking food, loved the trips, and certainly loved the seasonal changes you presented.

What I posted that you'll view is as well posted in a secondary blog where the picture is considerably larger. The whole post is larger for that matter. If you wish to see it Google -
"Alien, UFO & The Paranormal Casebook" and go to today's paranormal section, which is currently at the very top of the page. While you're there you might want to scroll down the sidebar to the tag area and click on Octoberfarm. What opens are lists of pages where you'll find probably one of your pictures linking back here to Octoberfarm.

Once again, you have a fantastic blog and I can certainly tell you put a lot of work into it.

Eileen

I think the dog with bat wings looks really creepy, wouldn´t want to meet something like that in the night :-)
have a great Halloween!

I just came from The Parnormal Casebook where they named Octoberfarm the best Halloween blog of 2009. From what I see so far, they're right.

Will tool around in here for a bit, looks pretty neat. I live in Salem.

I missed the front door the first time...I must have slipped through when it was open. That wreath is wonderful on that rustic Victorian wooden front door....the heart thinks Joyce has a bit of style!
Happy Halloween and a Blessed Samhain to you and yours!

Happy Halloween! I just wanted to thank you so much for the beautiful prize package. It arrived today. I was thrilled with my goodies (will be posting about them this week). The package itself was almost too pretty to open. I adore the little owl!

Thanks again and have a safe trip. Looking forward to that bat stew recipe. (Congrats on your award for the Best Halloween blog - very well deserved.)
