A Puppy Fix

I've been accumulating animal pics from my trips and decided that I would do a puppy post for all of you dog lovers.

Teddy doesn't get enough post time.

So today is her day.

The Chow Chow is the most ancient breed of dog dating back 3,000 years.

This little guy was in Skaneateles.

What cuties these guys are.

Treats sure get their attention.

There is an old tale which says that when God painted the sky, he was followed by a devoted Chow Chow that licked up all the drops of blue paint and that is how they got their blue tongues.

The Chinese slang word, chou, means food. The Chows were eaten by the Mongolians and many think this is the origin of their name. NO!!!! Not my Chow Chow.

Awwwwwww!!!! Who could eat a dog that looks like this?

Chows necks are stronger than any other bread.

Chows, unlike other breads, don't really care about pleasing their owners. They prefer to please themselves first.

They are extremely clean dogs. They don't have a "doggy" smell but rather smell like powder. My Chows have never ever had an accident in the house and most will not even pooh in their own yards.

A rather handsome bovine.

This little girls name is Molly.

Molly has a cute tail.

What a face.

I think this is her smile.

And if you don't like it, she doesn't care.

This bad boy wanted to play with Teddy.

Chows don't play. At least they don't play like other dogs. Teddy would never do anything so undignified as playing with a stick.

But she does like to roll on the beach.

The seagulls enjoyed watching the silly dog rolling.

And she does know how to ask for a treat.

Teddy hopes you liked learning a bit about her.

Teddy is sooo cute! The other dogs too ofcourse, but Teddy is something special!

Chows aren´t especially common here in sweden and I have only see one short haired in my whole life.
Have a great day now!

I love the second photo!
What!? No goats?!
heh heh
I love Teddy's eyes and big furry ears! No doggy smell? Then if I ever get a dog, it will be a Chow Chow. I hate doggy smell.

She's soooo cute : the second picture is just wonderful. And her tongue is so blue : I thought it would be more of a brownish blue, not that amazing sky blue. ;)

Yankee pot ? Looking forward to know what it is !
She's adorable! We had a beautiful chow male named CC (real original for Chow Chow). He was such a love. He passed from old age a few years back, we really miss the big bear.

Teddy's face just makes me smile every time you post a photo of her. Thanks.

Yes, Teddy definitely doesn't get enough blog time! ;-) We would never get tired of a face that cute! Honestly she is in the top 10 cutest dogs I have seen, but I do love Chows so I am biased probably. That is interesting about Chows being clean and easy to house break. My mom often talks about her old dog Homer who was part Chow, and how he was the easiest dog she has ever had to housebreak. Come to think of it, my dog Kody who was a German Shepherd Chow cross was pretty clean and easy to housebreak too. Loved the pictures!

Nothing better than doggy pics, I love the bovine one...too. We took Toby to the beach yesterday, he loves the water, (not too deep that he has to swim though...lol)
