Walnut Nut Bread

Teddy says hi! We are waiting for the snow....yahoo!!!!!

Add 2 1/2 cups of flour in the bowl of your mixer.

Add 4 teaspoons of baking powder.

One teaspoon of salt.

2/3 cup of sugar.

In a separate bowl, mix 2 eggs with 1 cup milk and 2 T. softened butter.

Blend the dry ingredients into the wet and add 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or pecans.

Pour the batter into well greased pans. I doubled the recipe so you should expect to get one regular sized loaf pan with a single recipe.

I also toasted the nuts before adding them to the batter to give the bread an even nuttier flavor. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

This is not a very sweet recipe. This bread is wonderful with butter or cream cheese. I serve it with a cheese platter.

*** The giveaway winner will be picked on Sunday morning so there is still time to enter!

That's one of my favorites for tea time. My mom always did tea at 4 pm and I still love to do it, especially in the chilly months. I liked your recipe--definitely going to try it!

Have a great day now!

Yummy! I just ate the last of my whole wheat pecan bread from Imbolc/Candlemas, so no more bread for a while for me. Peanut butter cookies, now, hmmm...I'm thinking they & a cuppa tea go nicely with the snowflakes! Thanks for putting my in your give-away. This blogging thing is fun. :)
Hi Teddy!

Walnut bread looks so good. I'm headed to the fridge for a cold glass of milk. :-)
