Teddy would like to show you one of her favorite desserts. It is her favorite dessert by smell because she has never tasted it.
She takes up the "in case you drop any on the floor position".
Put one stick of butter in a bowl. Melt this in the microwave and set it aside to cool a bit.
Put 1 cup of sugar in the bowl of a mixer.
Add 1 cup of self-rising flour to the sugar.
Mix to blend.
Pour in 1 cup of whole milk.
Mix this into the flour and sugar mixture.
Then pour in the butter.
Beat this until smooth.
Spray a baking pan with cooking spray.
Pour the batter into the pan.
Use 2 cups of berries, I like blackberries but you can use any kind you like. Make sure the berries are dry.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar, I use vanilla sugar, over the top.
Sprinkle the sugar evenly.
Bake at 350 degrees for and hour.
After 50 minutes open the oven and sprinkle a bit more sugar over the top, about 2 tablespoons. Bake 10 more minutes.
Mmmmmm....we like this so much that we eat it plain.
It could certainly be served with ice cream.
Or with whipped cream. This is a really simple recipe that you will make time and time again because of how good it is. The Blog Tech requests this often.

I hope your daughter has a great birthday ♥
This sound marvelous. Where do you buy vanilla sugar? - or is it something one makes?
Best birthday wishes for the little jazz farm-ette!
But I´ve never heard of self rising flour. Is it mixed with baking soda?
Yes ice cream with that would probably be heaven :-)
Say Happy Birthday to your daughter from me!
Have a great day now!
Christer.
I was eating apricot poundcake as I read that.
It didn't unmold well so there will be no post. It still tastes good, though.
Happy Birthday to your daughter!!!!!
Hmmm, maybe I'm on to something. I'll think of a food, and you supply the recipe!
Wishing your daughter the most joyful of Birthdays! I'm sure that the cake will be a perfect delight!!

Teddy is so good to announce a recipe she hasn't tasted. She figures her "smeller" recommendation is good enough.
