Have You Ever Slept With Your Face in the Dirt

Yesterday I baked some rye bread. There is just nothing like homemade bread.

After running through the slightly damp garden's, Teddy rests on the cool patio against a bag of soil.

It rained a bit the night before. Click pics for a better look!

Rain drops on rhododendrons.

And on the evergreen trees.

Succulents

Chives which have already been snipped.

Boxwoods

Flat leaf parsley

I am trying to get a moss garden to grow beneath the Japanese Maple.

Another big Japanese Maple leafing out.

I just planted these last week and they are filling in already.

The first color in the garden.

A Japanese Painted Fern unfurling.

Ummmmm....are you gonna kiss your mama with that mouth?

Phlox...I LOVE Phlox!

Pansy

Rosemary

I love the "dampness" of your photos...and Teddy can kiss me with that mouth and her little squashy face. Sweet Day my friend.

Your gardens are so much further along than ours! We won't be in full Spring swing until mid-May.

I don't believe I've slept with face in the dirt since college.

I´ve been very lazy when it comes to bread baking now. But I feel I´m comming closer every day now :-)

There´s not a single leaf here yet, but my hepaticas is slowly opening their buds now. Just a bit more sun and they´ll be open :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
Gorgeous photo's. Like diamonds that Fairy's have lost during their nighttime travels... :)

The bread looks delicioius but then your cooking and baking always makes me hungry just looking at the pictures.

I wish I could remember the names of flowers...and I seldom can. Well..ok...the Pansy is a no brainer, or the rose..but that's about it ..

Have a wonderful and peaceful day, Joyce!
Love,
Mona

You are bursting with life! Looks like Teddy is bursting with springtime garden laziness. I love to make fresh rye bread. I make a pumpernickel that I love to eat with cream cheese while it's warm. I should probably do that again soon--once it gets hot in the desert, I'm not in a bread-making mood.

I'm kind of jealous. Okay, scratch that. I'm A LOT jealous. I love your yard and I'd like to live it. But, I'm also jealous because I just planted some herbs last week and they have yet to even sprout for me. I have a black thumb and I don't do real well with plants, so I'm hoping to the Gods that I don't kill all these plants.

Love the pics! I like to think about them while I meditate.
Wonder garden that's what it is. Poppin up beauty evvvvvery where. Something for everyone!

Love the "come hither to my garden" pics!

Sweetie Pie Sleep in the Dirt Teddy is chilllllin.

Happy Day Jaz and Teddy.

Hi! I'm new to the blogging world but ran across your page and I just wanted to tell you how much I have been enjoying it! You post some very beautiful photos and I absolutely LOVE you pooches! I had a Chow Chow that was a rescue. We didn't have him very long, but the time we shared with him was nothing but fun! He was very timid, but loved the rest of my zoo which included two other dogs and 4 cats! Anyway...just finally found time to actually reply. Again, love your blog!

I like your perspective with these photos. They are a unique close-up look rather than the whole plant--and I like that. Very cool!
