A Spellbook Giveaway and Happy 4th of July

Teddy was so happy that everyone liked last weeks Celtic journal that she thought she would give another one away. This is a BOS (book of spells or book of shadows) which was handmade in Salem, Massachusetts by a local witch. I bought it there last fall in a very cool witch store!

It has a hand carved Celtic knot on the front of the wooden cover and brass hinges.

You can add pages to this BOS and the directions are on the first page so the book can grow with you! To enter, leave a comment on this post and if you are not a follower, sign on to follow. The winner will be announced next Saturday and a new giveaway will be listed at that time.

I am very busy cooking today so I thought I would post a few pics from last year.

I stuffed over 100 jalapenos yesterday which had to be seeded and de-veined before stuffing. It took me hours.

I told my kids that they can judge how much I love them by how many stuffed jalapenos I am willing to make for them. After 200, they go up for adoption!

I hope you all have a safe and festive 4th!!!!

A wonderful BOS, love the wooden covers, and the celtic design. Teddy did good.

100 jalapenos...my my, patience and love of family, and good food prevailed.! BTW I love stuffed jalapenos! I have a friend who seeds and chops them and adds a few to her potato salad.

You are a wonder indeed. Good job! Take a rest! :)

Although I never win anything, I will leave my comment and keep my fingers crossed this is something I would love to have and treasure. I have been looking for something like this to write my spellwork in so I can pass it down to my daughter and then she can give it to hers and so on. I really hope the Gods are gonna be on my side with this one.

You Americans sure do have a better time celebrating your country than we Germans have celebrating ours. Who celebrates in October anyway, hu? (We have speeches by Politicians and boring TV program and the day off, that's all. I still like it.)

I'm gone for little over a week, and now it will take me a month to absorb all that you have shared while I was gone! I truly miss being able to visit each day.

And here I find another glorious give-away, indicative of your generous spirit!

As is spendng your day stuffing peppers! I'm sure that your family knows how much you love them!

I was able to go to an antique market the other day, and was thinking about you, wishing you were there. .there was a vendor who was selling a number of wooden clothes drying racks, all of different configurations. Most I had seen before, but there was one that was round, and stacked, like the Tower of Pisa (it even leaned a little, but I think that was due to the uneven ground!)into three levels, and was huge!
The other was a bit smaller, but was even more unusual. .it had four sides of round rails, and was topped with a wide inverted "V". .it looked like a bungalow. I couldn't help but wonder if one of those wasn't similar to your mystery drying rack.

Wishing you a peaceful day! And try and keep cool!!

This is such a beautiful spell book. I would love to be the winner/owner of it.....do have one or two spells I could put in. (Much better than the notebook I use now!)
The wooden cover with the carved celtic knot makes it look so authentic. And beautifully simple.

Thank you for this giveaway. I am a new follower of yours. Sounds like a very interesting blog, glad I found it!
