Halloween Candy Time

I don't eat candy but I sure like the way it looks! I think it makes a great Halloween decoration.

For any of you that made my celebration rolls, here is a new variation. If you want the recipe, just click on 'celebration rolls' on my sidebar. I double the recipe each time I make them because they don't last long and if there are extras, they freeze really well.

I made pesto with the basil from my garden. After I rolled out the dough, I spread a layer of pesto over it.

I sprinkled it with a shredded imported provolone and Beemster cheeses.

I cut them into about 1 1/4 inch slices.

I placed them on parchment covered cookie sheets and spread them open a bit. While the oven preheated to 425 degrees, I let them rise a bit.

They bake for about 15 minutes. The cheese should be turning brown and they should be golden on the sides.

You can see that I got a bit over two dozen. We all agreed that these are the best out of the three versions I've made so far.

I also baked some banana bread. Do you ever notice how all of my food matches my counter top?

***The Blog Tech is busy tomorrow so he is preparing tomorrow's post today. This means that tomorrow's post will have today's day and date on it. Just ignore that and I will be announcing the winner of this week's giveaway and posting a new one tomorrow!

Shame on you for showing that Halloween candy. Not only do I like the way it looks in the jars...I like the way it tastes too ;o) Celebration rolls look yummy also!
You are killing me with this Celebration Bread. I don't have time to come up with my own version because I'm so busy making yours. There should be a patent on that bread!

I just had to tell you that I love reading your blog! You are such an inspiration!

Blessed Be!
These rolls looks even more delicious than the others :-)

I´ve never really understood if Bananabread is like something You have to a cup of coffee or if it actually is a bread :-)

I wish I just liked how candy looks, but it´s the other way with me. I don´t care how it looks, just how it tastes :-) :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.

I love looking at all your beautiful food and just salivating! I can't cook like this anymore but I sure do love watching YOU do it for others! What lucky folks they are to have you in their lives! Are you a chef?? If not...you should be! You're a wonderful cook. I love those apothecary jars filled to the rim with candy. You don't eat candy?? Oh my!! I am a candy addict unfortunately. There is ALWAYS candy in my house sitting on my wood stove in a Fenton milk glass dish and more in an old blue colored mason jar and some backups in my cupboards and in my purse and sometimes hidden in a basket on my microwave and in the pockets of jackets you will always find a fireball or two. Geez....I think I may have a problem with it!! My name is Debbie and I am a sugarholic!!
