The Day After

I made another wreath.

On sale at the craft store for 3.99.

A whole bag of berry twigs from the thrift store for 2.69. A nice cheap wreath.

Thanksgiving potato rolls. I will post the recipe soon in case you want to try them for Christmas.

Oven roasted Brussel sprouts.

Our old family stuffing recipe using Bell's seasoning.

My turkey platter. It's over 2 feet wide.

Mashed baked potatoes with fresh cracked pepper.

The bird. I brined it which makes it develop the rich dark color while baking.

Of course I forgot to take pics of all the rest but the gang was hungry and I had to dish it all out! I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I will post some ways to use leftovers in the next couple of days. Stay tuned.

Check back tomorrow to see the winner of this week's giveaway.

Your bird is making my mouth water.

I'm looking forward to the leftover post, We'll be roasting a huge bird for just the three of us in December and I'm going to need some ideas for leftovers that I can freeze and bring out once the Bean makes her appearance. The less I have to cook with a new born the better.

I like that wreath a lot! The only problem is that birds loves to pick away all berries one by one :-) :-) :-) I´ve always wondered why since they don´t eat them?

That turkey looks delicious! We Swedes really doesn´t know how to cook a turkey, it always gets dry and a bit boring when we try.

Have a great day now!
Christer.
Your wreath is beautiful. I already have the base, all I need are the berries. Could you hurry up with the Potato Roll recipe I have a lot of stuff going on that I might need it for:)

My turkey platter and gravy boat are the same as you have. My platter is not a big.

Roasted brussel sprouts! I was trying to think of a veggie I really miss eating and I haven't done those in years. Thanks for the reminder.
Love the wreath. Our turkey was good but I might try a brined one next year!

mmm.."oven" roasted brussle sprouts...something I am definitely goig to have to try...we usually blanch then and saute with butter and bacon... yours look delicious and much more healthy!
Wreath is beautiful too! I picked one up much like it at Crate and Barrel a few years back for "slightly" *laughs* more then your crafted one - your's is so much better! Wish I weren't so darn lazy!
Oh how delicious it all looks! While out today, we found THE perfect bread baking covered dish (handmade). I am so excited to begin trying your bread recipes - and I shall be sure to tell you how they came out. :) Theresa

Oh my goodness, how hungry I become after reading your entries... Hope your holiday was fantastic!
The wreath is just the right amount of rustic.
I wrote a comment but I am not sure I sent it as the post below caught my eye and I had to rush and read that one. Did it go through?
One day, I am going to get a cup of coffee some ice cold grapes and read this entire blog..and hope the grapes last me...I bet I couldn't do it in a day... :)
It's wonderful!

Your wreath is beautiful, your dinner is gorgeous, and don't be surprised if I show up at your door, suitcase in hand!

If you ran a B&B, or a home-style restaurant, you'd always have a full house!
Those brussel sprouts look good enough that even I, who hate the little buggers would be tempted to dig in.
