Pizza Recipe

In the midst of all the holiday baking, I threw some pizza together and thought I would share the recipe.

2 1/4 tsp. instant rise yeast
1/4 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

I doubled the recipe.

I also made some pizza sauce.

  • 1 16 oz. can Muir Glen Fire Roasted tomatoes.
  • 1 16 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 T. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. granulated onion
Mix this all together and set aside. I doubled this too.

Form the dough into four balls and let rise.

Push the dough out on a floured surface to form a circle about 9 inches across.

Spread with sauce.

Sprinkle with some grated Asiago cheese. You could also use Parmesan.

Top with some fresh Mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 450 degrees until golden and bubbling. Remove and top with fresh basil or arugula.

I also made one topped with provolone and pepperoni.

I´m not a pizza fan to be honest. I eat it perhaps once or twice every year.

Have a great day now!

Oh, for some reason if my cheese sucked for eating. If it was hard? It will melt beautifully...why? I have no idea. I am still learning...

Just grate it and use it on pizza or in omelettes. It's weird but true

Phew! I thought you had forgotten me! I'm definitely going to try this and see if we can't break a life-long losing pizza-making streak! Looks delicious and easy. We'll see... Keep your fingers crossed. Will let you know the outcome. Hug Teddy for me.
