I like to pass around individual bowls of this dip to avoid double dipping and to keep it off the carpet. This is the Blog Techs favorite.
Pour a few tablespoons of olive oil in the bottom of a heavy pot.
Add 1 pound of lean ground beef.
Add 3 tablespoons of granulated garlic.
Add 3 tablespoons of granulated onion and 1 heaping tablespoon of cracked black pepper.
Brown the ground meat thoroughly.
Add a jar of drained jalapenos and 3 diced peppers in adobo sauce.
Add 3 tablespoons of seasoned salt.
Pour 1 cup of milk into a bowl. Add a small box of Velveeta cheese cubed and 3 cups of Colby Jack cheese grated. Partially cover the bowl with plastic and microwave for about 4-5 minutes.
Stir the hot cheese mixture to make sure all the cheese has melted and is creamy. Add 1 jar of salsa.
Fold in the seasoned meat mixture.
Stir to combine.
Stir in some sliced green onions. You can add fresh cilantro too. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
