Farfalle With Sausage

This is an easy pasta dish that is really good.

Dice 1 onion.

Saute some Italian sausage in some olive oil. I used hot and sweet Italian sausage.

Add the onion to the sausage and continue to cook until the sausage is browned.

Stir in 6 cloves of diced garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Stir in 2 28 oz. cans of crushed tomatoes.

Add about 1/2 cup of cream.

If you need to break up the sausage more, use a potato masher.

Boil some farfalle pasta in salted water.

Drain it but reserve 2 cups of the pasta water.

Add the sauce to the pasta. Drain 2 cans of black olives and stir the pasta to combine.

Serve with grated Parmesan and fresh basil.

Poor Teddy has bad allergies. I hope they are allergies! She saw the vet and he put her on Benadryl.

See where she has been biting her paw on the right side. She has these all over her feet and legs. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I hate it when the puppy has problems.

Like always Your food looks delicious and makes me hungry :-) :-)

Nova had something similar but it wasn´t any allergie. We call them hot spots and I guess that´s a collective name for eczema´s that looks very much alike. She got antibiotics and got rid of her problem within a week. I do hope she will get rid of this quick!!

Have a great day!

Ooooh, Hubs is going to love this! This looks SO yummy, and easy to fix when I've had a busy, busy day. I'm getting hungry just looking at the photos!

Poor Teddy. .we just had one of our kitties in at the vet, and there was a dog there in the waiting area, who had not only chewed all of the hair off of her legs, but her tummy too, and had chewed open sores into her soft tissue. .she was back for a recheck, and was doing better, but the dog's human said that she had allergies, and that they were especially bad this year. (the Benedryl was helping, but made her pup terribly sleepy.) The weather people have been saying that this is a bad year for both humans and pets, alike.

I had a Golden that developed bad allergies as she grew older, and each Spring would chew on her legs, and back hips where she could reach, causing bleeding sores. .after the first year, I knew what she was doing and got her in before they got too bad, to get the meds started right away.

I do hope that Teddy responds quickly, and that the pollen season gets over itself even quicker! We don't like to see "our girl" not feeling up to making her usual rounds. .she'll have a lot of extra guard duty when she feels up to it. .no telling how many critters have invaded her space while she has been snoozing!

Our corgi/spaniel mix had allergies to grass pollen, and eventually had to be put on a steroid drug. It worked for a time, but you don't want a dog on steroids too long as it causes kidney problems. I truly hope the benadryl will work, tho too bad it makes her sleepy. Good luck.

Sorry to hear Teddy has allergies. Could be food allergies? I had a friend with a Samoyed that lost most of her hair before they figured out it was her food. She switched her to a lamb and rice dog food I believe and it worked, her hair came back!
